What an amazing day! You can’t be an art(history) teacher or an exhibition designer, go to Crete, and not go to Knossos! The kids also got really into it after reading my art history book on the beach and telling them about minotaurus for a few days. We wandered around tor ages. Imagined how it would have been wandering around there 4000 years ago, when Norwegians were still in fur/caves. Pretty much.. Afterwards we had lunch, spent half an hour getting back on the motorway, and drove to Retymno. Quite a nice place. Interesting mix of architecture.! Went back. Shopping in inka. Omelette and salad for supper. Both went out pretty fast, although Ronja was a bit worried that maybe the minotaurus was in fact real and still alive!

  2. Agreed. I loved Knossos when I visited it. It was so atmospheric and we’ll preserved. I remembered studying it in my first year at Grammar School. Glad you all enjoyed it and got some great pics. X
